Smile with the rain || Milan

natasa blair

When the rain comes to Milan, there is actually not much to do but to actually accept the fact that the autumn has arrived and just try to fight it with a smile. In my case, I am always positive and look things from the bright side and find this as opportunity to make some different photos and change the mood of the content.

This weekend I was happy to have my friends by my side and we will be together for 6 days. Even though I am used to being alone most of the time, I am always very happy when I have someone from home coming to visit me as then home feels much closer. Then I can finally someone my two homes, have some fun in Milan but with the ones that are from where I come from. We took a lot of pictures, laughed, ate dozens of pizzas and crepes, and hanged out until late in the night. Actually, I can’t believe those days are actually almost over!

I am already thinking about my upcoming plans, and actually it will be anything but boring: I will be spending a day in Rome next week, then a three-day visit to Munich is awaiting with my dear Petar Milano, after which I will be going to London for some days. Before the New Year’s Eve I will be going home for 10 days for sure, as I really need to rest and relax before the craziness in January starts. Even though fashion weeks start in February, there are a lot of preparations that need to be done in advance.

When you thought autumn started…

natasa blair

These days have been more confusing than ever as I already prepared myself for the autumn period and totally changed clothes in my wardrobe. Then, I wake up one morning, and in Milan it is more than 20 degrees, with a splendid sun and a serious craving for some afternoon outside. If I remember well, it was Sunday, and it was a perfect day to spend with my dear Petar doing what we love: we had brunch, then we went and shot a couple of outfits and then we enjoyed the wonderful moments in Duomo. Perfect, no? For me Sunday means time in family, and he is my family here so there is no better way to spend a Sunday.

I am still a bit behind with the remaining looks from fashion weeks, and I also have to show you some travel and beauty articles that I have written. Unfortunately, with this tempo of life that I am having, I am leaving behind some stuff but I promise I will make it up to you.

About the look: over-the-knee boots are my serious crush this season and I am putting them whenever I have the opportunity. This time, with a very light blue dress with some very cute ruffle details. Too bad it will have to wait for the next season to be worn more seriously, but for now, it is here live on the blog.

Plaid dress MFW

natasa blair

During this MFW there were days when I changed even a couple of times. When I had to do it in London it was tiring as the city is huge and took so much time to go back home, swipe into different clothes and then go back to the central area. On the other side, since I live in Milan quite close to Duomo, it was always so interesting to go back home, choose another outfit and then head again outside and catch up with all the shows and events.

When I chose the outfits that I would wear during the day, I tried to be creative, so basically if I had two or three outfits that day, I would make them totally different with regards the clothing items: for example, if I wore jeans and a shirt in the morning, I would probably wear a dress in the afternoon, and vice versa. I remember there was a day when I had to change my look three times, and I was so undecided in the evening when I had to go for the dinner party because I wanted to wear a dress, but then I remember I was wearing a dress in the morning. At the end, I picked out something that wasn’t even in my plans and it turned out great!

About the look: I love the plaid pattern of this dress and what I find particularly interesting is this sleeve detail around the wrist. Overall it looks quite simple but once I have put it, it reminded me somehow of the Alice in Wonderland dressing theme. Too bad the weather is already worsening, I think I would be wearing this dress quite often nowadays.

Pleat skirt in Duomo

pleat skirt in duomo

My second look during Milan Fashion Week was this pleat metallic skirt and I decided to take some lovely photos in front of Duomo. Even though Milan has been my home for the past seven years or so, I haven’t taken many pictures for the blog particularly in front of Duomo. Now I think I will do it more often as there are many nice angles that can capture a good moment, plus lately my favourite thing has become to get up at 7AM and use the moment when there is no one and take some pictures.

This was actually my second look of the day, I changed for the afternoon session of the presentations and events, and I was going to the Furla presentation and Hogan dinner party. I always enjoy going to the Furla presentation as theirs Metropolis bags have been my favourite ones for a long time. Now I am not wearing them anymore as much as I used to, but I still enjoy going through some old photos and seeing how they actually represented me in some period of my blogger life. Later on, Petar and me went to the Hogan dinner party, where we met a lot of our fellow bloggers and friends. I was actually really tired so I didn’t manage to stay for a very long time but I really enjoyed the evening as fashion week is a great moment to get together with everyone from the industry.

About the look: As I already wrote, and you can also see from the photos, I opted for this Zara skirt, that is actually pretty much popular this season. I have seen so many girls around wearing it. Sometimes I am not very keen on midi skirts, but this one is very particular so it can look pretty awesome. I combined it with knitted sweater and my favourite Gucci shoes of the season.
